What can't be undone
Almost everything in Mentorfy can be changed later. But some actions are permanent. Read this list before you delete something.
Golden rule
If the confirmation window says "cannot be undone" or "irreversible", stop and check twice.
Students
- Permanent: Remove Client in My Clients deletes the student and their whole history. Careful: if you only want to take away access, use Remove access instead of removing the student.
- Permanent: Merge duplicate accounts deletes the account that was not kept. The products move to the other one. Careful: check which account will stay before you confirm.
- Permanent: Remove access with Remove from the student's showcase turned on deletes the student's link to the product, including the class. Careful: with that option turned off, the product is only locked, and you can give access again whenever you want.
- Permanent: Reset answers for a step, in the student report, deletes the current answer and the earlier versions of that step.
- Permanent: Conclude Manually a step for a student.
Mentorships
- Permanent: Deleting a mentorship removes the mentorship, and students lose access to it. Careful: if you only want to hide it, hide the mentorship in the showcase instead.
- Can be recovered: Deleted modules and steps stay for 30 days in Restore Changes, in the mentorship editor. When you restore them, the students' answers come back too.
- Permanent: deleting a question from the Question Bank.
Groups
- Permanent: Delete group deletes the group for good. Students keep their access to the products.
- Permanent: deleting a group comment also deletes its replies.
- No loss: Delete column doesn't delete any group: they just move to another place on the board.
- Can be recovered: Archive this board takes the board off the list, but you can restore it later. No group is deleted.
- Can be recovered: when an automation moves a group to another column because the lesson started, the notice has an Undo button.
Team
- Can be recovered: Remove from team takes the person out of that team. If they are not on another team, they lose access to your dashboard. To bring them back, invite them again with Invite person.
- Permanent: Delete team: the people on that team stop seeing the products that came from it and stop following the students there.
Storage
- Can be recovered: Delete on a video, file, or folder sends the item to the Trash. It stays there for 30 days and can be restored. Until then, students keep watching the video in the lessons.
- Permanent: Empty trash or deleting an item from inside it is permanent. Careful: items in the trash still use your plan's space. Empty it only when you are sure.
Other
- Permanent: Delete meeting in My Meetings: the links and invites for that room stop working.
- Permanent: deleting an automation or a webhook in Integrations.
- Permanent: deleting an item from the AI Studio gallery.
- Permanent: deleting a comment in Comments: its replies disappear too.
