Glossary

The platform's terms, in alphabetical order.

The most important difference

A mentorship is what you sell; a group is how you organize the people who bought it.

Board The Groups screen, in columns. You can have several boards, one for each process or for each person on the team.

Column Each stage of the Groups board, like "Onboarding" or "Completed". You move groups from one column to another as they move forward.

Contact An event that shows the team talked to the group, like a comment on the card or a meeting. The Indicators in Groups count the days without contact to flag who needs attention. See What counts as contact.

Copilot (My Copilot) The AI that helps you run the platform. You ask in your own words, and it answers with your data, charts, and analyses.

Credits The "currency" of the AI tools, like AI Studio and the Copilots. You see your balance in My Account. See How much it costs.

Group A set of students your team follows together: a class, or a company and its employees. Each group sets which products the students can access. Group tracking is internal: the student doesn't see it.

Member area The space the student enters to watch the lessons. See Member area.

Mentorship (or Product) What you sell: a course, a mentorship, or a member area. It is created in My Mentorships. "Mentorship" and "product" are the same item.

Module and lesson A module groups the lessons of a mentorship. Each lesson is a step inside the module: video, text, file, task, and other types.

Showcase The page your student sees, with their mentorships. The Showcase Categories are the shelves that make everything easy to find.

Student (or Client) The person who buys and watches your mentorships. On the platform, students are in My Clients: "student" and "client" are the same person.

Student Copilot An AI assistant for your students. It answers questions at any time, the way you teach it to.

Team and team member In My team, you build your staff. A team brings together people who do the same work, like Customer Support. Each team member only accesses what you allow.

Webhook and API These are ways to connect Mentorfy to other systems so they work on their own. Is there an API? Yes. In Integrations, on the API Key tab, you create a key. With it, another system can, for example, add students, create products, and give or remove access. Webhooks tell another system when something happens, or receive notices from a sales platform to give access automatically. See Integrations.
